A Tool Smithy is an unlockable workshop building where metal is made into tools, with the help of coal to fuel the furnaces. The importance of this building stems from the fact that citizens having tools can greatly speed up some jobs, adding a massive boost in efficiency to a settlement if enough citizens have them.

There are two components to this building: the required work bench that allows 3 employees per bench placed, and the optional auxiliary station that adds efficiency to the building by speeding up tool production. The building costs 200 knowledge points to unlock.
