The Weaver is a work building under the "refining" sub-category, that turns cotton into fabric. The importance of weavers stems from the need of fabric for many buildings and components, such carpets and some furniture items. There are two components for weavers: the required loom which allows 2 employees to work there for each one placed, and the optional auxiliary loom that adds efficiency to the building, which speeds up the process of making fabric.
The amount of fabric created will be equal to 60% of the cotton that was used to make it. Weavers produce noise, so it may be in the player's best interest to build them away from certain public areas.
