The bench is a construct used to give places for idle citizens to rest in their time off. When not working, citizens can choose to rest on or near benches. Despite what the in game description says, anyone who uses a bench will have an increase to their "bench" stat, improving their environment satisfaction. Benches can be made in any size ranging from 1×1 to 1×8, each tile allowing for a single subject to use the bench concurrently.
In order to maximize the utility of benches, it is recommended to place them in combination with other decorative buildings, such as statues and trees.
In-game description
"Allows your subjects to rest their weary legs. Has no real benefit except controlling where idle subjects hang out."
