Cotton is a relatively common resource in Songs of Syx. It can be collected through harvesting wild cotton plants, building cotton farms, collecting them from an onx via hunting or onx pastures, and through trading. Cotton is used to make fabric, which is then used to make clothes. So cotton is important for keeping citizens clothed, which boosts their self-esteem.

Building a weaver provides a place where cotton can be turned into fabric. As mentioned before, the onx can be bred in pastures, and cotton can be farmed, obviously making them renewable.
