Opiates are a medical resource in Songs of Syx. They can be collected via opiate plants and through trading. Like any other plant resource, they can be found randomly in the world. The most prominent use of opiates is for treating pain at hospitals, which must be constantly used by those buildings (alongside fabric to maintain the beds) for the hospital to remain perfectly functional.
