Metal is a resource in Songs of Syx. Metal is created when ore is smelted at a metal smelter and can also be obtained through trading. Much like common building materials such as wood and stone, metal is used for many buildings and components, but unlike wood and stone, metal is not as common of a building material, as metal has more of an industrial use.

When smelting ore at a metal smelter, another resource - being coal - must be used in the smelting process.
