Woodcutters are work constructs where citizens constantly produce wood by cutting down trees. Unlike the Fell Tree command which immediately removes the tree when cutting it down, woodcutters produce a slow but continuous and constant output of wood without immediately cutting down the trees. The bigger the woodcutter, the more employees that can work there, thus increasing wood output. The woodcutter has two components: the required storage and optional auxiliaries. The latter adds efficiency to the woodcutter, increasing wood output speed.
The auxiliary requires furniture, so attempting to build a woodcutter during a time when a settlement has no furniture nor means of yet obtaining it can be tricky. The woodcutter can still be built without it, but wood output will significantly slower. Trading for furniture or waiting until a carpenter can be built is advised.
Woodcutters can be upgraded with knowledge points to speed up wood production.
