Physicians are an unlockable civics building under the "health" sub-category that allow citizens to get regular check-ups and maintain their health. A physician does not do as much for health as a hospital, but still greatly improves a citizen's chances of fighting off any sicknesses. The buildings require two components that are both required: the workbench and shelves. Each workbench adds 0.25 to the "physician" factor which means that for every four workbenches, one physician can work there; each workbench also adds one to the "services" factor.

Each shelf adds a small amount of quality to the building, although the size of the building and the amount of workbenches also contribute to this. The building requires 500 knowledge points to unlock, and contains no further upgrades. The physician must be purchased first before the hospital is available.

In-game description

"A physician tends to your subjects' health, which improves their ability to fend off disease and injuries."
