A Garthimi Hatchery is an unlockable civics building under the "procreation" sub-category, where Garthimis can lay eggs and hatch babies and children of their own kind, thus increasing a settlement's population with Garthimis. There are 2 components to the building: the required breeding spots to hold the babies, and the optional humidifier to increase efficiency/breeding speed. Meat is needed to feed the babies, otherwise they will starve to death.
The maximum amount of workers allowed in the building is equal to the number of breeding spots in the hatchery. This building is one of four breeding buildings, the other three being the Cretonian Breeder, Human Nursery and Tilapi Nursery.
All the nurseries can be unlocked at once, which costs 100 knowledge points by itself. It costs 400 in total to also purchase the unlocks before it, leading to the nurseries.
In-game description
"Produces Garthimi. Each station produces one every 20th day and each station needs 1 meat per day to operate, else the cocoon will die. Is not a pleasant environment for all species, except Garthimis themselves."
