Warehouses are infrastructure buildings, under the sub-category of knowledge. This building increases the education stat of children, and works much faster than a university. What they learn as a child can carry over very well into their adult years, as it will give them a boost in productivity in nearly any job they work in.
This is one of two school buildings, the other being the aforementioned university, which works only for adults.
