Law buildings are constructs that assist in maintaining the law in a settlement, such as punishing criminal citizens and swaying them away from committing crimes in the first place. Justice being maintained properly will greatly increase the happiness of a settlement. There are 5 buildings in this category, though all of them are not readily available at the start of a game, meaning that all of them must be unlocked via increasing a settlement's status:

  • Guardpost (unlocked at "Major" status)
  • Dungeon (unlocked at "Major" status)
  • Scaffolds (unlocked at "Major" status)
  • Slaver (unlocked at "Major" status)
  • Court (unlocked at "Chieftain" status)
