A Dungeon is an unlockable infrastructure building in the law sub-category, where criminal citizens are imprisoned, depending on what law they broke and what a judge decides their punishment is. The building becomes available once a settlement reaches a population of 200. There is only one component to a dungeon, being the required cells where the prisoners are kept. Jailers must be hired to feed the prisoners and maintain the cells, otherwise it will be considered as overly cruel treatment. Prisoners may try to escape if they think there's a chance that they can.
Prisoners who serve their time will go back to being standard citizens.
In-game description
"Where caught criminals and other prisoners are taken for storage. After a few years of time are spent, they come back out as useful subjects again. The jailers will bring the prisoners food and clean their latrines. Make sure prisons are well manned and maintained, or it will count towards your cruelty. Occasionally a prisoner might escape."
