An Export Depot (previously known as the Trade Depot) is a logistics building where citizens store resources for trading. The export depot - during the trading process - is meant for outgoing resources, while the import depot is for incoming resources the player wants. The mechanics of the trade depot are very similar to that of a warehouse. The player can choose what resources are delivered there. In other words, the player can choose what resources are allowed to be traded away.
At certain times, a trader will arrive at your settlement and begin to take as many resources as possible from the export depot, then they will deliver items to the import depot.
Care should be taken not to put too much of a resource in the export depot, as it will greatly subtract from what the settlement gets to use. When a resource is selected, the player can set a percentage value between 0% and 100%. The selection can only be in multiples of 10. This value controls when to start exporting the chosen resource once it exceeds global storage amounts. For example, setting the value to 50% for cut stone will make sure that cut stone is exported when all warehouses contain 50% or more of it, stopping once cut stone falls below the 50%.
