The Throne is the very first building given to the player's settlement when starting a game, acting as a settlement's capital. It must be accessible at all times, otherwise the citizens will be greatly upset and may even wander off far away. The game's starting resources will be inside the Throne's room. When a game begins, the player will have a chance to choose where their settlement's capital is via the world screen, after that's selected, the player can then choose where the Throne will be on the zoomed-in - more detailed area of the land. Thrones can be moved around freely using the "Move Throne" choice in the building menu's infrastructure category.

Moving the Throne only moves the chair and two torches, not the surrounding building, as the building is optional, but still highly recommended for safely encompassing the Throne. This building will always be a 9×8 grand building when the game begins. Moving the Throne doesn't cost any resources, and doesn't require citizens to do anything, meaning that thrones can be moved around instantly.

To move the Throne, click the infrastructure button right of the buildings list button. During a raid, if the enemy reaches the Throne, they will lose much denari and resources.
