Opiates are an upcoming resource in Songs of Syx. They are not yet implemented, so both their use is unknown. Despite this, they can still be collected via opiate plants and through trading.

Trivia
- In real-life, opiates are obtained from plants that contain body-altering chemicals, which are then used to make narcotics. The resource and opiate plants are in the game files, but as mentioned before, can't be made of any use to the player.
- Opiates are used to treat pain, simply obtain a euphoric feeling, or both. It can be speculated that a future update will involve these things.
