Livestock are a resource in Songs of Syx. They are small animals that are able to fit in boxes, and as such, are treated like a resource that can be stored, as well as used to populate pastures. Animals can naturally breed when they bump into each other in the wild, as well as breeding when in pastures. Because of this, they are a renewable "resource".

Only a fraction of animals in the game can be put in pastures, livestock can be one of four animals: auroch, entelodont, globdien and the onx. Due to their middling cost in trading, they are not too difficult to obtain. Obtaining as much livestock units as possible is perfect for filling pastures, and therefore obtaining meat, leather and cotton from said pastures.

A Temple of Crator can accept livestock as an offering, which will appease the god Crator.
