Clay is a resource in Songs of Syx. It can be found in clay deposits, which can be extracted by building a claypit. The importance of clay stems from the fact that it's needed to make pottery, which is then used to make the containers to create drinks, an alcoholic beverage that increases the happiness of any citizen who drinks it.

Pottery is also used to manage canteens and eateries, acting as containers for the food and drinks in them.
