Tools are an equippable resource in Songs of Syx. Tools are made by processing metal and coal in a tool smithy after it's been unlocked via knowledge points. Tools can also be obtained through trading, although their cost is high. Citizens equipping tools will be able to perform their jobs much faster.
Due to coal and metal being renewable, keeping the supply of tools going can be a lengthy endeavor, although mines can be worked indefinitely. The amount of tools allowed per citizen can be customized.
