Metal is a resource in Songs of Syx. Metal is created when ore is smelted at a metal smelter and can also be obtained through trading. Much like common building materials such as wood and stone, metal is used for building many things, but metal is not used as much in this way for building as much as wood and stone. Metal has more of an industrial use.

When smelting ore at a Metal Smelter, another resource - being coal - must be used in the smelting process.
