Trees are a natural resource found in the world of Songs of Syx. Trees are very important, as they provide one of the most common yet much-needed resources in the game, wood. Collecting wood from trees can be done in one of two ways: the first way is to use the Fell Tree command, which is the easiest and quickest of getting the wood, but will immediately chop down and remove the trees in the process.
The second way is to set up a Woodcutter and employ citizens to work in it. This provides a much slower, but steady and constant pace of wood collection without instantly cutting down the trees.
Before beginning the game, it is highly advised that players choose a wooded area so that there is always a constant supply nearby of important wood. Otherwise, players will have to rely on trading to obtain it.
Trees can also be built as extra components in graveyards which adds to their "respect" attribute. They can also be built as outside decorations to increase the happiness of citizens walking by it.
