Religion is a sizable factor that contributes to the mental makeup and happiness of your subjects. Each subject will be inclined to believe in a certain god from the start, determined mainly by their race. Subjects can convert to another religion at any time, and will be influenced by what temples are available for them to worship at. Temples can be built to appease your subjects, giving them the opportunity to worship their favored gods. Temples will need to be very large and well decorated in order to fully appease their users, and will take a large investment to set up.

The religion for tab for both citizens and slaves tab shows the satisfaction that can be received for fulfilling their religious needs, broken up into Faith and Burial.

Gods

Main article: Gods

There are a number of gods that still hold sway in the lands of Syx. Each has their own desires for worship and will grant different boons to their followers. There are currently 4 gods that can be worshiped in the game:

  • Aminion
  • Athuri
  • Crator
  • Shamalor

Faith

Faith is how much the subjects have been able to worship is the temples of their gods. Since each subject will only worship in their own religion's temples, in order to fuffil it completely you must either hope that they all convert to the faith you currently cater to or build temples for each religion they are a member of.

Opposition

Opposition is a measure of how much religious tension there is between your subjects. Certain religions conflict with each other, which will cause this to increase and cause your subjects to become unhappy.

Burial

Burial shows how happy your subjects are with the current treatment of the dead. They do not want to be rotting in the streets or thrown in a random hole, they would much rather be put into a well tended grave or a beautiful crypt. All races have a different importance for burial, and most races prefer crypts to graveyard (except Cretonians).

Desecration

Desecration is a measure of how often you upset your buried subjects. Disturbing graves by destroying burial grounds with bodies in them will upset your subjects, disable them and wait for them to empty before demolishing them.
