Irrigation is a game mechanic involving the yield amount of farms. In other words, farms with good irrigation will provide more resources. Irrigation is how much water is being fed into a farm. Any type of farm can have its irrigation stat increased by having many water tiles right next to the farm. If a farm is not made near water, water tiles can be made easily by using the Dig Canal command right next to farms.
